To ensure a productive, safe and fun environment, appropriate behavior is expected of all of our Learning Adventures participants.\u00a0 Please review the following expectations with your child before their adventures begin.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Zoo is open to the public. Always stay with your group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Follow all directions given by your Adventure Leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Have fun but respect barriers and property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Use appropriate recycling and garbage receptacles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keep your hands and body to yourself.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Use kind language when talking to others.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Observe our animal friends. Do not touch, tease or feed them or disrupt their behavior.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Use walking feet on all designated paths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leave native animals, flowers and plants for others to enjoy.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Follow all directions given by your Adventure Leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sedgwick County Zoo has the right to remove a Learning Adventures participant from the program at any time.\u00a0 Consequences for inappropriate behavior will be administered in the following order. *<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Verbal Warning \u2014 Reminder of behavior expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2.\u00a0 Cool Down \u2014 Time out of next activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3.\u00a0 Reset with Adventure Leaders \u2014 Separated from the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4.\u00a0 Phone Call Home \u2014\u00a0 Adventure Leader calls parent\/guardian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5.\u00a0 Dismissal \u2014 Participant must leave Zoo premises with parent\/guardian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*If a child\u2019s actions are severe, steps may be skipped within this sequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
